Tony Evans ChurchPosted on January 16, 2010. Tony Evans: on Carnal ChristianityThe bad doctrine always crawled in the Christian church. Among the swellings of men of day of Paul as Hymenaeus and of Philetus applied ideas that Paul said "will eat as doth an ulcer" (2 Tim 2:17). In the modern Christian church that a false current teaching takes the form of a half type ideological known as the "Christian carnal". The popular one and respected Dr. Tony Evans perpetuates this dangerous teaching. The quotations of Dr. Evans found in this item came from his booklet authorized The Carnal Christian. In the opposition to the history of Christian church, but related to his university, Paved Theological Seminary, Dr. Evans gleans his "carnal Christian" teaching of first Corinthian chapters three: And I, the brothers, could not speak with you as to witty, but as to carnal, even as to the babies in Christ. I nourished you with milk, and not with meat: for so far you were not able to carry it, or now you are nevertheless capable. For you are nevertheless carnal: for while there is among to envy you, and the conflict, and the divisions, you are not carnal, and the walk as the men? 1 Horn 3:1-3 "The it is possible," insists Tony Evans, "to be on the way to the sky but is good earthly no because you compromise your faith. .. Notice that Paul calls the the brothers". At the time of this reproach Paul included these Corinthian ones in the swelling family. Of this passage nevertheless Dr. Evans continues his fall down below a slope slipping of non sustained complaints. Consider Dr. Tony Evans carnal Christian: - The carnal Christian is characterized by the rejection of Christian faith." - The carnal Christian is a pulpit- had Christian objections. Such people live only to please itself -forgets portion or to subject to Christ. Because Paul called the Corinthian ones "brothers" and "carnal" (or of this world) the fact follows that they had the option to remain such and between always the kingdom of God as Tony Evans supposes? The response is simply - No Carnality was not an option for the Corinthian ones or for us. The reproach of Paul to the "carnal" in 1 Corinthian 3 more are clarified later in the same book (although Dr. Evans does not mention it) : "Not to know you that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Is not cheated: or fornicators, or the idolators, or the adulterous ones, or to emasculate, or the abusers of itself with humanity, does or fly, or eager, or the drunkards, or revilers, or the extortionists, will inherit the kingdom of God". 1 Horn 6:9-10 Paul is not the only the one to disavow the "carnal Christian". Not even an allusion of this dogma can be found in the professor, confession or the catechism that I prepared Christian history. FIRST PLACEMENT nicene Generates to the Confession of Westminster and Confession Baptist of 1689 not carnal Christian dogmas could be found. Of Martin Luther to James Arminius or of John Calvin not carnal Christian dogma could be found. Of Jonathan Edwards and of George Whitefield to John Wesley or of Charles Finney not carnal Christian dogma could be found. Tony Evans "carnal Christian" is not true.
