Lds Church History

The ring of CTR was a religious symbol of faith for the Mormon religion for almost 50 years. The three letters meaning "Chooses The Right", the insert on a green protection, have a rich history, and a deep deeper direction for a lot of the members of the church. Creation
The ring creation was directed by a committee of eight women of the church of LDS: Noami W. Randall, Norma Nichols, Virginia Canon, Vauna Jacobsen, Ruth Clinger, Virginia Bryner, John Hughes and Helen Evans. The committee head, Noami W. Randall was the first one to recommend that the symbol officially incorporated in the equipment of teaching of the church for the youth. The church wanted a "the conviction emblem" for the boys and the girls.

Norma Nichols recalled, "of return then the boys did not carry necklaces and buckles of ear, therefore a ring seemed as a good idea". The committee thought a protection would be fitting as "to protect" the temptation youth. In 1970, then apostle of the church Gordon B. Hinckley, announced officially the new equipment of "CTR" in a lecture church wide as a part of a program for six and children of seven years.
