Thousands of Irish children systematically were mistreated since decades in the houses and orphanages ran by the Catholic Church.

An investigation report, ordered by the Irish government in 2000 and recently relaxed, comes to a terrible conclusion. Spiegel retrieved online this May 20, 2009. According to the report, between 1936 and 1970, and even later, more than 30,000 children go through these horror houses, edtiqueted as the Catholic houses for the children.

And these crimes have not intervened in 1 or 2, but in more than 200 houses and the different institutions. The children were, in average, 8 old years. The commission questioned personally 1, 800 victims as the witnesses.

The report talks about systematic, physical, sexual and emotional abuse.
