Does why the Catholic Church (and of others) limit of the women to hold positions?Does why the Catholic Church (and a lot of Protestant churches) limit of the women to hold positions in the church?
The it is clear that the first church had leaders of women and that Paul approved this. It had at least a female deacon and rules had for how the women should include themselves themselves they were deacons.
The Roman ones 16:1. His name was Phoebe.
Thank you to bring this to my attention I happened incorrectly the opinion that Paul must have been misogynous and wondering why the women were not held to be of a lot of values by him. The demonstration me this did me me to feel differently.
Because they interpret poorly the Bible.
The Church that I went to had several female deacons.
-the former Catholic
First Catholic je'm and I am at odds with the entire idea.
Now il's tradition, idea that Jesus chose only men to be disciples. Historically it this was not this manner in the first church, there were women that preached Jesus and The Manner (someone believe that Mary Magdalene did). The thoughts changed when the church organized later on and they tried to keep the check.
I am not Catholic or Protestant but I consent that the women are not qualified to become elder or deacons because this in contrast to is what the Bible sign. An oldest child and deacon is to be the husband of a woman, now this says me that the women are of not to hold positions as this. See first Timothy 3:2 2 Now the foreman must be irreproachable, the husband of but a woman,
The women are to be silent in the church how can themselves they are oldest children or deacons because elder and the deacons are censent to be inclined to teach and preach. Read Corinthian first 14:34-35 As in all the churches of the saints, 34 the women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not allowed speaking, but should be in submission, as the Law says also. 35 IF there is does not import what they desire to learn, the request permits their husbands to the house. For the it is shameful for a woman to speak in the church.
First Timothy 2:11 says also to leave a woman learns silent with docility and also as God does not allow a woman to teach or exercise the authority on a man. It says also as she is to remain of the silence.
About Phoebe she was member of the chursh and she was servant, meaning that she was servant to just God as all Christians is.
There is a lot, a lot, a lot of roles for the women in the Catholic Church. True Il's that the women cannot be priests (that means that they peuvent't is bishops) and true il's that the women cannot be the pope, but there are roles that the only women can have, not the men.
The true equality is in the reception of Jesus, not which role of servanthood a person arrives to have. And the men and the women receive Jesus equally in the Catholic Church. The complaint that the women peuvent't is priests are as the guests to a marriage banquet complaining that they peuvent't expectation on the tables or does the dishes next.
Gen. 3:15; Luke 1:26-55; John 19:26; Rev. 12:1- Mary is BIGGER Dieu's creation, was the person more close to Jesus, and nevertheless Jesus did not choose it to become priest. God chose only men to be priests to reflect the sex complimentarity. Just as the man (the royal priest) gives natural life to the woman in the marital alliance, the ministerial priest gives supernatural life in the New sacrements of Alliance.
The judges 17:10; 18:19 ae" paternity and the priesthood are synonymous terms. Micah says, "the Stay with me, and to be me a father and a priest". The generate/priests give life, and the mothers receive and nourish life. This reflects God our Father that gives grace life by the Priesthood of His Son of Ecclesiastical, and the Church of Mother that receives the life of grace and nourishes its children. In the summary, the women cannot be priests because the women cannot be fathers.
Mark 16:9; Luke 7: 37-50; John 8:3-11 - Jesus allowed the to the women only to participate His mission, the student above the cultural norms. His decision of not to order women had nothing to do with the culture. The writers of Gospel are as clear as the women participated in Jesus' ministry and, in contrast to the men, never betrayed Jesus. The women always were held with the highest consideration in the Church (for example, the holy BIGGER Eglise's and the biggest model of faith are woman; the constant Eglise's teaching on maternity dignity; the Eglise's understanding humanity as Is Married it united itself to Christ, etc.).
Mark 14:17.20; Luke 22:14 - the language " the twelve" and " apostles" shows to Jesus ordered the priesthood of Eucharistic while giving holy orders only to the men.
Gen. 14:10; Heb. 5:6.10; 6:20; 7:15,17 - Jesus, the Son of God, is the priest and King after the priest it king Melchizedek. Jesus' priesthood embodies Monarchy and Sonship.
Gen. 22:9-13 - as announced, God chose our buyback to be obtained by love offer in sacrifice that the Son gives to the Father.
Matt. 26:26; Mark 14:22; Luke 22:19 - because the effective priest in role Christi in the offering to the Father, the priest cannot be woman.
Mark 3:13 - Jesus chose the apostles " as It desired, " according to His will, and do not according to the ask of His culture. Because Jesus acted according to his will do that that perfectly was united Father, the one cannot criticize Jesus' selection of men to be Its priests without critical God.
John 20:22 - Jesus breathed only on the male apostles, the first bishops, their data the authority to forgive and keep sins. Indeed, the male priesthood of Christianity was a distinction of the praatresses of paganisme that existed during these times. A female priesthood would be a return to the non Christian practices. The sacred tradition of a male priesthood existed uncompromised in the Church for 2,000 years.
1 Horn. 14:34-35 - Paul says that a woman is not allowed preaching the word of God in the Church. It always was the tradition of the Church for the priest or only the deacon (an ordered male) to read and preach the Gospel.
1 Tim. 2:12 - Paul says also as a woman is not allowed holding teaching the authority in the Church. You can imagine yourself how much Mary, the Mother of God, could have taught Christian Jesus his Son in the Church? Nevertheless, she was not allowed holding such teaching authority in the Church.
***Rom. 16:1-2 - while a lot of Protestants indicate to this towards denounces the Eglise's tradition of a male priesthood, a deacons, as Phoebe, were assistance to the priests (for example, preparing women for the nude baptism if as to prevent the scandal). But these assistance never were ordered.
Luke 2:36-37 - the prophetesses, as Anna, were women that devoted themselves to religious life, but were not ordered.
Isaiah 3:12 ae" Isaiah complains that the priests of old Israel had their authority usurped by the women, and this was at the height of apostatizes alliance of Israel.
I recommend you Phoebe our sister, that is (also) a church minister to Cenchreae. (The Roman ones 16:1)
Paul's letter does not say which type of relief Phoebe is. The Catholic Church has a lot of women in the ministry (the ministers), the a just ordered no.
WWJD? What Jesus would it do?
The Catholic Church sign currently:
The Jesus of Lord chose men to form the university of the twelve apostles, and the apostles did it same when they chose assistants to succeed them in their ministry.
The Church recognizes itself to be the limit by this choice does by the Lord himself. For this reason the order of women is not possible.
