If we found the intelligent forms of life today, how the Catholic Church would it react? Would the people stop believing in God? How would you react?

If the intelligent forms of life were found in the exterior space, I would be shocked of the but finally the generations would be over normal to our enfants's children and so on..

There is this false idea as for Christian faith (not Catholic just) that they cannot accept the exterior one of life of Earth, OR that if there is life, it would do to question them their faith.
